We’ve mentioned before in this blog about the importance of packing an overnight bag on moving day. Even if you use a reputable moving company to help you move, it’s still a good idea to have one. It helps save you the trouble of unpacking literally the same night you move, giving you time to rest and unpack at your leisure. When you’re creating an overnight bag, you want to make sure that you have the essentials down and enough to last you for a few nights, so we’ve compiled a list of tips so that you don’t forget your toothbrush in the middle of packing.
Grab some PJs
It’s in the name. A comfy pair of pajamas will help you get that rest that you’ll desperately be needing after moving. Depending on where you are and what time of the year you move, you’ll want to get appropriate wear for the weather – short sleeves when it’s warm and long sleeves for if it’s cold.
Hygiene and Beauty Products
Obviously you’ll want a toothbrush to keep your teeth clean. But you should also pack some beauty products, especially if you have to work the next few days. Pack a comb, maybe some of your haircare products, some makeup supplies, and your shower supplies so that even if your house is completely unpacked, you’re still ready to go and face the world. Also, don’t forget that deodorant. You don’t want to smell.
An Outfit for the Next Day (or so)
As stated before, you’ll need to be ready for the next day, especially if you’re working. Take an outfit that fits what you’ll need for the next day, taking weather into consideration. Plan for something that you might be able to wear a few days just incase you want to delay unpacking for a few more days.
